Therapy Intensives
When Traditional Therapy Just Isn't Cutting It
If weekly therapy feels too slow, too fragmented, or too shallow, but you still want real change, therapy intensives might be exactly what you need.
Come for a few hours.
Or a full day.
Leave with momentum.
A therapy intensive is extended, focused therapy—so we can actually build something meaningful instead of restarting the engine every week.
Intensives allow us to:
-
slow things down
-
build safety and connection
-
and move through the hard stuff without rushing your nervous system
This is deep work, not crisis mode—and not surface-level either.
Therapy intensives can be used for:
-
individuals
-
relationship dynamics (couples, polycules, open or ethically non-monogamous relationships)
This format allows real repair—attachment wounds, trauma responses, messy conflict cycles and all—without cutting the work short right when it gets honest.
Is a Therapy Intensive Right for You?
(A Very Informal Quiz)
A therapy intensive might be a good fit if you find yourself nodding “yes” to several of these:
☐ Weekly therapy feels like starting over every time
☐ So much happens between sessions that last week’s insight gets buried
☐ You’re a busy, high-functioning human with a calendar that laughs at consistency
☐ You want depth and continuity, not crisis management
☐ You need more safety and trust before touching the hardest stuff
☐ You’re tired of talking about the problem without feeling real shift
☐ You want focused time to work through trauma, anxiety, depression, or relationship dynamics
☐ You’d rather do meaningful work in hours or days than stretch it over years
If you checked more than a couple boxes, your nervous system might be craving more time, more containment, and fewer interruptions.
What to Know Before You Decide:
-
Therapy intensives range from 90 minutes to a full day (typically 10am–5pm PST)
-
Intensives are available in person in Pasadena, California or online in CA or FL
-
They can be done solo or with partner(s)

Insurance does not cover therapy intensives
-
Fit matters—we’ll talk through readiness before scheduling
This isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about giving your system enough space to actually settle, digest, and integrate it all.
