Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Building Stability

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) helps us change the things we can and accept the things we cannot

Maybe you've been noticing your mood is out of wack. It's been difficult for you to balance your mental health with everything you have to do during the day. You may find yourself avoiding the intense and difficult emotions by eating too much, drinking too much, scrolling too much, etc. Or, you may find you can freak out with even the smallest thing and your noticing the lack of balance is hurting your relationships.

With DBT, we'll take a look at your patterns of thinking, feeling, and doing. We'll figure out how you're seeing yourself, others, or the world that is driving these intense emotions and creating behaviors you wish you didn't do so much. Together, we'll build skills to better manage the emotions your having creating more space for you to do differently.

You'll learn things like mindfulness practices, tolerating the tough emotions, and relationship building.
