Gottman Method and EFT
Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) are two well researched and highly effective therapies for relationships. We'll use a combination of the two to get you back to each other and connect on a deeper level.
Gottman Method will have you learning new tools for communication, talking through repetitive patterns of conflict, compromising where necessary, creating rituals of connection, and much more. EFT will allow us to get to the deep issues that may be driving conflict or making it worse so we can deal with what’s right in front of us. EFT also allows us to meet our deeper emotional and relational needs.
Together we’ll talk through your strengths and challenges in the relationship; emphasize where you excel and boost you up where you’re struggling. You’ll get homework to practice in between sessions from readings, to practicing skills, or other activities to do together. While the journey through relationship counseling can be hard at times it’s also meant to renew your sense of joy and play with one another.
